Kevin and Gwen started Prairieland Motorsports in 1988.  They raced locally with their sons Cory, Jamie and Shane with two funny cars - one a 1972 mustang (candys gone bad) and a 1988 corvette (Iron Mule).  In 1993 they decided to move up and race in the Top Alcohol Funny car + Dragster class.  The cars were called the Eatmore funny car Sponsored by Hershey Canada and the dragster was the Chester Fried Express in 1995 they sold the dragster to better concentrate on the funny car.

In 2005 they had the idea to run a jet engine on Bio-Diesel and started to work on the project, by 2007 they debuted the worlds first Bio-Diesel funny car (Prairie Gold) and raced it with the alcohol funny car.  Their family was devastated by the loss of their two sons Jamie and Shane.  They race in their memory.  Their sons had a catchy saying that was adopted - "GO HARD OR GO HOME".

The Eatmore funny car was sold and in 2008 Kevin built a jet truck.  In 2009 Kevin crashed the jet truck but luckily was not hurt and in 7 weeks with bound determination had another car built - the corvette (Prairie Gold).  Since then they have also built another car - the mustang (Prairie Gold II).

Kevin is the builder, driver and mechanic on the cars and Gwen is the Crew Chief and also does the administrative work at home.  After building the second car they were in need of a second driver so long time friend and crew member Ross Crampton took the controls of the corvette (Prairie Gold).  The crew has grown to Cory, Dylan & Colby Therres, Ross & Maxine Crampton, Eddie Wiesner, Les & Julie Hala, Craig Hartman, Brian & Tammy Krentz and also Chris Miller.  With out these people the team could not do what we do.
